My foundation is complete

So since my blog is called the renovation of V it is appropriate that I keep you abreast of my progress. After this weekend I can say the foundation is officially complete. I am implementing things that are leading to my spiritual growth as well as my physical. Daily bible reading is under rated. It truly keeps you on track and focused. The mediation on the bible reading is what transcends the reading into action. Like I said the foundation is complete. Now it is time to start building my first floor. I plan on making it absolutely stunning! Have a good day everyone!

What I'm listening to

The Dreams cd is phenomenal. I love the whole cd but my favorite is Priceless. Every woman wants to be priceless in a man's eyes. I love Big Boi's cd I have always had a weakness for southern flow. My fav's on there are hustle blood and theme song. The man that is reigning supreme in the whip is Mr. Ross. The Teflon Don brought it on this one. Love it! I hope everyone is having a great day, I am.

August 2, 2010 Hello-Good Morning

I just got out of bootcamp class this morning and as always I love Kims class. You cannot beat a little zumba booty shaking to get yourself going. So this weekend I realized I am getting bored with my routine. Running was exhilirating at first but now I am bored with it. The eliptical I can only do for so long before I am bored. The food? OMG I am giving chicken a break this week. If I didn't switch things up I would go crazy. So I took myself to Wholefoods. If you have not been, please go. They are located in Dublin and since I live all the way in Blacklick it is a treck but ladies it is a experience. The boutiful variety of produce will tickle your taste buds. The fabulous meats that are already prepared will make your life easier. I settled on these fabulous turkey burgers with spinach already in them. If you do go try them you can thank me later. My daughter hipped me to something she is in love with. She gets them at Giant Eagle behind their meat counter. They are salmon burgers and they are totally divine. My fruit this week I chose watermelon. I have od'd on apples and strawberries. I know enough about me that if I don't switch this up I will not succeed. For my workout I added a day to the bootcamp so now I do 4. I also already had a lifestyle gym membership and so I went their Sunday to work off the Shrimp and Black Orchid Martinis I had at M Restaurant on Friday. I did a Step Class for about 35 minutes. I would have kept doing it but this chicks routine was all over the place and it irritated my soul. Feeling good about today and this week. I did my spiritual workout and got a chapter of bible reading in this morning as well as my daily text.

Another beautiful day

What a good start to my week. I have two days of bootcamp workouts under my belt. I am feeling pretty fit. I have to leave those 100 calorie packs of snacks alone. The shortbread sandies...omg they are good for no apparant reason! I just might need rehab on those things. Lost a crown yesterday so headed to the dentist for an emergency appointment. Hopefully it won't hurt too bad. Feeling like Mary J Blige so..."Share My World".

OMG the shrimp again appetizer was just phenomenal! The sauce is a chile sauce.

M restaurant-Cameron Mitchell

So today started my own Taste of Columbus. I did research and got what the Dispatch considers the top 20 restuarants of Columbus Ohio. First spot was M. It is located in the Miranova building downtown. Honestly up until this week I had no idea the place existed. It took me a while to find it nestled securely behind the courthouse. My daughter got lost as well and she is not as nice as I so she arrived cranky and fussing at the poor valet. We walked in and the mood instantly changed. The decor was just right elegant but comfortable. Michelle was our server at the bar. We met a great group of regulars. I started off with the Kobe mini burgers and Shiraz. Our bar neighbors were kind enough to let us try their martini that looked divine. It was a black orchid martini. It had a black orchid frozen inside a block of ice. I then had the shrimp again which is just insane. The chili sauce and the batter around the shrimp made me think of exotic places. This restaurant gets a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. I will be back.

At work

The first 48

What a difficult transition. Everything has changed. Only Jah can give me the strength I need. I have resolved to pack my tears away. I have cried enough for a nation. I can honestly say I feel loved. My friends and family have been so true. My phone though is dead and lifeless. There are some authors and movie writers that use the term "alone in a crowded room" I now know what that feels like. 24 hours to go to complete my first 48. How did I get here?
